OKA-Tec GmbH in Bönen / Germany

OKABEST and OKAFLEX product lines

OKA-Tec develops and produces special stabilizers for numerous technical plastic applications that require improved long-term heat stabilization and chemical resistance.
OKABEST™ PAT 218 is a heat stabilizer already used in various applications for long-term temperature resistance of over 1000 hours (according to VW 44045) for all reinforced PP compounds, in which, in addition to extensive stabilization against the thermooxidative ageing processes, low values for volatile and condensable emissions also comply with common standards: VDA 275, VDA 277 and VDA 278.

OKABEST™ P808 is an excellent thermal stabilization booster for antioxidant systems used in Polyolefins and other thermoplastics like for e.g. PC/ABS or POM. It provides great synergistic effects with primarily antioxidants like for e.g. 1010 and secondary antioxidants like for e.g. HALS or DSTDP.

OKABEST™P808 is also a very efficient scavenger of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and particularly appropriated for compounds used in automotive parts which have to fulfill new emissions requirements in automotive industry like the Chinese GBIT 27630-2011.

OKAFLEX™EM is an organic long-term heat stabilizer for all types of polyamides and component application temperatures up to 200 °C, which also improves long-term resistance to autotypical media such as lubricants, hot oils, glycols, coolants, electrolytes and cleaning agents.

OKAFLEX™ EM shows permanently advantageous electrical properties, such as a high tracking resistance of at least 600 V (CTI value according to IEC 112 test specification) and very good contact corrosion resistance, and is therefore also ideally suited for future applications in vehicle construction as well as in electrical engineering and electronics (E+E).
In this way, this polymer stabilizer assits current plastic developments for lightweight construction, fuel cells power units and electromobility to achieve the desired success in the long-term.
